The room could definitely have been cleaner. Air conditioner was rattling and filter was overloaded with dust. Screen door fell off every time we opened it. Baby ants in and out of the room. A step at the BBQ area was completely rotting and half missing, very dangerous. The room had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Restaurant was not in operation. Not sure why. It was nice and quiet though we had a guy smoking pot right next to us the whole time he was outside. It could have been a lot nicer if property was maintained, rooms were cleaner, furniture and vents cleaned and weeds on patios sprayed. Fix rotting steps, someone could break an ankle out there at night. They had new chairs but couldn't be bothered to even take plastic and tags off. Fridge worked well, better than most. Lovely view. But so poorly maintained.

10/10 Exceptional! (3 reviews)
I was at Haliburton Post House Weekend Aug 2 to 4th with family, we had one of the cottages and one room in the main building. It is our second time coming and we are so impressed with how clean and well kept the resort is that we will definitely be back. We had dinner as well in the restaurant and it definitely stands up to its reputation. Thank you

8.4/10 Very good! (111 reviews)
This place is a complete scam. Upon arrival the reception area is locked and there is no one there to greet you or take you to your cabin. The cabin was not ready on time and we waited for it to be cleaned. This property is extremely run down and filthy inside cabins (reeked of mould, ripped curtains, soiled sofa, broken tiles, filthy stove & kitchen area, soiled bed frame, walls were grey with grime, bathroom is smaller than most powder rooms). The photos of the cabins must have been altered to look better. Inside the cabins is a total of 13x13 feet including living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. There is no dresser or closet. The price for this was outrageous and I demanded a full refund upon arrival and returned home which ruined a weeks vacation. There is a number to call for support. It is clear at this point no one intends to help. There is an answering service set up screens calls. You are told the manager will call you back. They do not call back. I was hung up on when they “transferred me to a manager” 10+ times. The only help I received was from Expedia to regain my money. Do not waste any time or money here. Nothing about this place is on the up and up.
